Video and Multimedia Internship
We’re searching for a talented and passionate intern to help us produce short videos for our website! We have great stories about smart growth to tell and are hoping you can make them come to life.
You will work closely with CSG’s campaign team to create short videos (2-5 mins) and other media about smart growth in the Washington, DC, region and for our specific campaigns.
Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate is:
- Passionate about smart growth and issues such as walkable, bikeable cities, affordable housing, farmland preservation, good urban design, and a low carbon lifestyle solution to climate change.
- Experienced with basic video editing software and shooting footage.
- Excited to tell stories as part of our team.

- Other multimedia projects and cool stuff to enhance our website
About Us
The Coalition for Smarter Growth, an advocate of community oriented development since 1997, addresses the Washington, DC region’s key issues of where and how to grow. Our mission is to ensure that transportation and development decisions are made with genuine community participation and allow the region to accommodate growth while revitalizing communities, providing more housing and travel choices, and conserving our natural and historic areas. The Coalition was founded as and remains the central coordinating agent and voice of smart growth in Metropolitan Washington. Our goals include: focusing investment in towns and around transit stations; increasing transportation and housing choices; and ensuring vibrant neighborhood open space, agricultural lands and natural areas.
Commitment
Flexible, ideally a commitment of 3-6 months.
