Your monthly guide for all things housing and transit in the DC region

Thank you to those who joined us in Wheaton last Thursday for a Wheaton Plan get-together at Sabor Mixteco! We’ll have a chance to gather again at Smart Growth Social, CSG’s annual party at Eastern Market on October 21. Grab your ticket today!

Great communities thrive when we come together, and this season offers plenty of opportunities to connect, from our popular walking tours and online action-taking opportunities to, of course, our favorite night of the year: Smart Growth Social!

With your support, we secured some major wins for housing and transit-oriented development, including in Fairfax, Virginia, and Montgomery, Maryland. Read on to learn more and see what’s coming up next!

With the heat index exceeding triple digits across the entire region, this week is a reminder of why our mission is so urgent. This month offers many opportunities to advance smart growth in your community.
