Walk the future Central Ave. Connector Trail with us

Join us to explore the future Central Ave. Connector Trail (CACT) on the east end of the CACT alignment. CACT is the planned trail parallel to Central Avenue from the DC border to Downtown Largo, connecting four Blue/Silver Line Metrorail Stations, residences, parks, schools and businesses. After years of planning, the trail is taking shape with the first segment, from Old Central Ave./Central Ave. to Shady Glen Drive, starting construction in 2027.
For this tour, we’ll walk the Summerfield Park Trails between the Morgan Boulevard Metro station and the Beltway. Prince George’s Department of Parks & Recreation will join us to discuss future plans for enhancing the park trails network and connecting to the planned Central Avenue Connector Trail in this area. We’ll also look at plans for a bridge over the Capital Beltway to connect the trail to Downtown Largo.
This is an easy walk mostly on existing sidewalks and trails. Please bring drinking water. Rain or shine.
