Alexandria is holding two community open houses next week where you can offer your input on two major ongoing projects: the Duke Street Land Use Plan and Housing 2040. Attend the events to hear the latest updates, find out the results of recent outreach efforts, and let the city know if they got it right.

Duke Street Land Use Plan:
Community Meeting #5 and Open House
Wednesday, February 25th
7 PM – 8:30 PM
Washington National Masonic Memorial

During the fifth community meeting of the Duke Street Land Use Plan on February 25th, city staff will present a synopsis of all feedback gathered to date, proposed Draft Plan Districts, and which elements of the plan they will address next. Stick around before or after the presentation for the Open House to speak with staff and learn more. This meeting is in-person with an option to join virtually. The schedule of events is as follows:

  • 7:00 PM: Open House starts (informal opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and learn more; an online version will be available on the Engagement Hub)
  • 7:30 PM: Presentation (also online via Zoom, see below for details).
  • 8:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Open House continues
