Primary Election 2026: Learn where MoCo candidates stand on key issues, and get ready to vote!

Early voting begins on Thusday, June 11 in the leadup to the primary election! This year, Montgomery County will elect 11 Councilmembers and a new County Executive. 

We’ve put together these resources to help you know how, where, and when you can cast your vote, and to inform you about candidates’ positions on housing, zoning, and transportation. 

Important Dates and Voter Information

The early voting period begins this Thursday, June 11 and ends on Thursday, June 18. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 23

You can use the Maryland State Board of Elections’ Voter Lookup tool to review your registration details, check your polling place and early voting locations, and view a personalized sample ballot with candidates for local, state, and federal offices.

Montgomery County voters may vote at any early voting location in the county during the early voting period. However, if you are voting in-person on Election Day, you must vote at your designated polling place.
