DC Office of Planning staff presented the planning process to date, and discussed proposed changes for the Future Land Use Map. DC 2050 will guide where and how we build new housing, grow job opportunities, and connect neighborhoods. DC 2050 aims to align land use policies and investments to make the District more equitable, affordable, and resilient. See DC 2050.

We have been fortunate to see the majority of measures included in our original housing and transit package make it to this last stage of the legislative process. Help us cross the finish line!

The work of DHCD and affordable housing practitioners is essential to address these housing needs. DHCD currently has 70+ affordable housing projects in its funding pipeline. The state is a critical partner on these projects, and this budget decision will determine how many of these projects are able to move forward.
