How will Ward 3 and DC grow and change?

April 27 @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

How can future land use decisions build a more vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable community? Will homes in DC become more affordable? Will residents and newcomers get more options to live in Ward 3 and other neighborhoods? Will more people be able to walk, bicycle, and ride transit for their daily needs?

Join us for a discussion with DC Office of Planning on the DC 2050 Comprehensive Plan process and the recently released draft Future Land Use Map (FLUM). We’ll have a special focus on how Ward 3 is envisioned to change.

DC Office of Planning staff will present the planning process to date, and especially drill down into proposed changes for the Future Land Use Map. DC 2050 will guide where and how we build new housing, grow job opportunities, and connect neighborhoods. DC 2050 aims to align land use policies and investments to make the District more equitable, affordable, and resilient.  This event is co-sponsored by Ward3Vision and Cleveland Park Smart Growth.
