CSG is proud to announce that Andy Altman and Ron Kaplan, partners at Fivesquares Development, will receive CSG’s 2026 Livable Communities Leadership Award — our highest honor — at this year’s award reception.

CSG’s Sanders-Henn Community Hero Awardees 2026 are Montgomery Housing Alliance (MHA), coordinated by Mary Kolar, and Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance (NVAHA), led by Jill Norcross.

For over 25 years, CSG has celebrated local elected officials, government staff, community advocates, and private sector leaders each spring.

The award reception is our main fundraising gala of the year and a celebration of those who have advanced the smart growth cause in the region. 

We’ll celebrate progress on smart growth, honor our awardees, and enjoy networking with fellow advocates, government leaders, and our many corporate and foundation supporters. Enjoy wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, and terrific hors d’oeuvres from Founding Farmers catering.
