Event Assistance
As much as we try, we can't be everywhere at once. Sometimes, this means we miss out on going to cool events like festivals and fairs - but that doesn't mean you can't go! If you are interested in attending fun events like these, or know of any you'll be at anyway, let us know and we can give you materials to bring with you. We also need volunteers to help us at our own walking tours and forums. This includes signing people in, collecting donations, and setting up and cleaning up.
Photography
We need new content for our photo library. If you're a photographer, we'd love your help in documenting the good and the bad around the region - everything from transportation to underutilized land. We've got a wish list of images we're looking for and would be thrilled to have you work with us to capture those photos.
Filming
Want to help us create video shorts? We'd love to use video to help tell the smart growth stories from around the region. As our video volunteer, you'll work with CSG staff to create and film story ideas. We do not have a camera, but we do have Windows Movie Maker if you enjoy editing. You're welcome to use your own camera or editing software of choice if you have it.
Video Editing
If you have video editing software (FinalCut Pro, etc.), then we want you! We're looking for people to help us edit films of our education forums, which would require a 3-5 hour time commitment about once a month. You can even work from home if you'd like. We need 4-5 minute preview clips for our Website, as well as edited shorts from the full version of the forum to be posted on YouTube.
Graphic Design
We are seeking a volunteer with a talent for graphic design and document layouts. We would love to have someone help us design and format our reports, brochures, and end of the year newsletter. We have InDesign and Photoshop available for you to use in our office.
Web Development
Do you know Flash, Java or CSS? We'd love to have your development expertise to help us add some excitement to our Website. This might mean converting presentations or videos to Flash, creating an interactive module or producing something else entirely. We welcome your ideas.
