LETTER: Oppose MC/PG 104-23 and MC/PG 105-23
We are writing to express our strong opposition to bills MC/PG 104-23 and 105-23. Both bills would reduce the oversight and appointment powers of the County Council, granting control over critical Planning Board appointments to a single individual, the County Executive, rather than the eleven members of the Council.

TESTIMONY: Support eliminating parking requirements near transit
I am speaking on behalf of the Coalition for Smarter Growth in support of Bill 106-23 to eliminate parking requirements within a quarter-mile radius of Metro and Purple Line stations.
RELEASE: TransAction Vote
Tonight, the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) will vote on a proposed $75 billion transportation plan for the region. The “TransAction” plan provides a laundry list of projects through the year 2045 from which the agency can pick and choose for funding decisions.
CSG Comments in Support of Huntington Metro Site-Specific Plan Amendment
CSG writes to convey our support for the Huntington Metro Station plan amendment, which lays the groundwork to transform the Huntington Metro station area into an inclusive, walkable, bike-friendly, transit-oriented community. One important recommendation we have for the plan is to include language that the County will work with WMATA to provide needed public funding for the transit center to ensure the redevelopment can move forward.
